I'll be there tomorrow. :-)

Re: Community is the framework

Taylan, worst case scenario your team won't win the 'fake' bid from the 'fake' client. How scary can that be?

Re: Community is the framework

Hey Taylan,

You should totally participate in the DesignSlam. Learning from others and their processes is a great way to develop design skills. We've been talking about how to divide up some 'key' players to make sure that there is an experience slammer for every team.

We want everyone to feel welcome. Newbies, old skoolers, whomever, come out participate.

I bet you have something to teach us!

David

Re: Community is the framework

I couldn't agree more. DemoCamp 3.0 was simply amazing. I met some amazing people, and it felt really good to know that there are lots of other developers and designers in Toronto who shared my enthusiasm for new technologies. I can only hope that these events will be happening at least every month.

As for the DesignSlam, I don't think I have enough experience to be in a group of professionals and keep up with their brainstorming. I know it's all about learning and having fun, but it's also scary. :-) Anyway, have fun, maybe I'll be there in a year or so!

Re: Community is the framework

Too bad it's tomorrow (I only found out about this today), otherwise I would have come by. Have fun!
